The eSATA interface can support speeds up to 3 Gbps, or up to six times faster than USB 2.0 or FireWire 400. Additionally, this UltraMax drive also supports FireWire 800, FireWire 400, and USB 2.0 for the utmost in compatibility, allowing you to move the drive from one location to another without fear that it won't work. The drive offers speeds of 800 Mbps when connected with FireWire 800, 400 Mbps when connected with FireWire 400, and 480 Mbps when connected with USB 2.0.
