| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description The Nav-Mat is the most convenient mounting accessory for your portable GPS today. Using the physics of weight distribution along with high tech anti-skid materials, it creates a solid mounting base while turning your windshield mounted GPS into a dash mounted GPS.The Nav-Mat conforms to the contours of your dashboard, allowing it to work on uneven or textured surfaces while the anti-skid underside keeps the device from sliding. Designed to work with devices up to several pounds using the windshield suction mount sold with most popular GPS units, the Nav-Mat requires no tools for installation and can easily be moved from vehicle to vehicle or put out of sight when exiting the vehicle. Also works well with other Bracketron Windshield Mounts for mounting devices such as Satellite Radio, Cell Phones and MP3 Players.

BEST upgrade / accessory for ANY GPS - Very impressed! July 8, 2008 E. Tan (Pittsburgh, PA) This is an incredible accessory for any GPS. I bought it for my Magellan 3100. I drive a Honda Pilot and it's not very convenient / comfortable to mount the GPS to the windshield, let alone trying to reach it to make any changes.
This Nav-Mat effectively BRINGS my GPS about 18 inches closer to me! I can now easily reach the GPS, and not be frustrated trying to mount it. My wife loves it as she can now easily reach over from the passenger side to make any changes while I drive. (Don't mess with your GPS while driving.)
An added benefit that I've noticed is that this effectively made my GPS about 50% "larger" because the screen is much closer to my eyes now! I can see it clearer, move it around if I needed to.
Also, I always hated the little suction cup rings on the windshield from the mounting the GPS on it. No more ugly rings on the windshield!
This is the best investment I've ever made for my GPS; and, when I upgrade my GPS in the future, I will keep using this Nav-Mat. GPS may come and go... but my Nav-Mat will stay with me. :) Yep, it's that good.
Bracketron UFM-100BL Nav-Mat GPS Friction Dash Pad July 8, 2008 Jerry Y. (Minneapolis, MN) Bracketron UFM-100BL Nav-Mat GPS Friction Dash Pad Excellent product--excellent price--quick arrival--and does what it is suppose to do (without worry).
Great idea for GPS July 7, 2008 Thomas R. Thebolt This was a great idea! Before, our GPS would slip and slide even with its holder. Now it stays put!
This thing is great! July 6, 2008 S. Mills (Minnesota) This heavy little guy will surely stay put on your dashboard. I just got my new Nuvi and was confused as to how to mount it into this thing, but after reading the instructions for the Nuvi, (DUH!!!) it was very clear. The Nuvi comes with the mounting bracket/disc, so instead of suctioning it to the windshield, you just suction it to this holder! when you leave your vehicle, slide it onto the floor and no one will see you have it in your car. Only drawback that I can see is that it could be smaller (seems kinda big to hold that little Nuvi, but I guess the size makes it sturdier) & needs some sort of attachment to hold drinks!
Works like a champ! July 5, 2008 J. Troxell (Hagerstown, MD) I wanted a friction mount primarily so that I could easily hide the GPS mount when I wasn't in my car. I have a Dash Express GPS, which is definitely on the larger and bulkier side of GPS units, and this mount has worked really well. It sits on top of the dash of my car, which is not a particularly flat surface and I have yet to see it slide out of position. The one caveat I will state here is that I haven't slammed the brakes on yet, and I would not be surprised if it did move under hard braking conditions. I'm very pleased with this product and would definitely recommend it to others in the market for a friction mount.
