Just what I needed. August 27, 2008 C. Mitchell I moved into a high rise condo from a rather large home. My Infinity tower speakers (4) were no longer usable because of size. I needed something that was versatile and appropriate for my current square footage and lifestyle. These speakers have allowed me to put my old system in storage and enjoy all the music that I have stored on my computer in which ever room(s) I choose. I added an additional speaker and found a configuration that allows the music to be heard through out the condo in such a manner that you would think you were listening to stereo. The set up was easy and I have no trouble with the concrete walls impeding the signal. The bright blue light on the speakers was a minor annoyance that I corrected by a small piece of masking tape and black magic marker.
great buy August 26, 2008 E. Cox (Elkhart, IN) I BOUGHT THESE SPEAKERS FOR MY HUSBAND FOR CHRISTMAS AND WE LOVE THEM. WE USE THEM ALL OVER OUR HOUSE, INSIDE AND OUT. THEY HAVE GREAT SOUND AND RANGE.
Horrible clicking noises and not in stereo! August 17, 2008 M. Landon (Hollywood, CA USA) I purchased these in the hope they would work as a good speaker system for my outdoor theater. Upon opening the box I was a little surprised to see how cheaply the speakers, transmitter, and remote were made. Never the less I proceeded to set them up using AC power instead of batteries ( I didn't have 12 C-cells) and test them out. The first problem is that the transmitter doesn't sent out a stereo signal! Beyond that problem I was getting a intermittent screeching, clicking noise that would not go away by hitting the "auto tune" button. So I have packed this speaker system back up and have returned it.
Less than I'd hoped for August 13, 2008 E. Schroeder First of all, they do work. In fact they received a decent signal upstairs, through several walls. I didn't expect a lot of bass and didn't get it. And as mentioned in other reviews, the blue light they use on it is annoyingly bright. You have to turn it away from you and then it still lights up the whole room if there are no other lights. A little black electrical tape does wonders. However, what I didn't expect is sometimes when no music was playing and the speaker was on, it would squawk loudly, possibly due to wireless interference.
good sound, limited portability August 8, 2008 L.Jean (Boise,ID) Good sound; a little boomy and light on the high-end, but that could be expected from such a watertight speaker and can be compensated with the treble adjustment on your audio source. The volume is good for such a small unit. I do get occasional frequency interruptions; I have attempted 'auto tuning' as recommended by the manual, but to no avail. From the reviews, this doesn't seem to be a common occurrence, but we use a 900MHZ phone as do our neighbors which could contribute to the issue. I was disappointed to learn that the base unit can not be battery operated, so camping uses, auto uses, etc. are out unless I buy a DC power source.
